J&j Design Plus Build

J&j Design Plus Build is a licensed California contractor based in Beaumont, Riverside County, holding CSLB license #1101840 under classification B — General Building. The license was active and clear when this listing was compiled.

This classification covers projects that cross trade lines — additions, second stories, ADUs, structural alterations, whole-house renovations and post-loss reconstruction. A general contractor can perform or subcontract the individual trades, but the permit and the schedule sit with them.

Working in the San Gorgonio Pass: The pass funnels sustained high winds through Banning and Beaumont, which is a real design consideration for anything exposed — roofing, fencing, siding and rooftop equipment.

Before you hire any general contractor: On a project of any size, ask for the payment schedule in writing before work starts. California caps the down payment on home improvement contracts at $1,000 or 10% of the contract price, whichever is less — progress payments after that should track completed work, not the calendar.

License status can change at any time. Confirm license #1101840 is current, and check bond and workers’ compensation coverage, using the CSLB license lookup before signing a contract or paying a deposit.
